On the 9th, the Sejong Social Service Institute distributed goods donated by a private company to local care institutions as part of the “Social Service External Resource Linkage Program.”
The processed chicken products sponsored by Saerom FS Co., Ltd. were delivered to five organizations, including daycare centers, community child care centers, organizations for people with disabilities, and senior citizens’ associations. The donated items will be evenly utilized across life-cycle care settings, benefiting infants, children, people with disabilities, and senior citizens.
President Kim stated,
“It is important to connect private-sector sharing with the actual needs of care sites. Going forward, we will continue to enhance the public nature and sustainability of care services through external resource linkages.”
From care work that safeguards a child’s daily life, to the rights of people with disabilities, and the everyday lives of older adults, the Sejong Social Service Institute’s recent initiatives invite a renewed perspective on welfare—not merely as ‘support,’ but as ‘connection.’ Sejong’s approach quietly demonstrates that care truly reaches people’s lives only when systems and practice, and the public and private sectors, come together.
